STORY TIME

Story times feature picture books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, flannel boards, games and crafts. Three sessions per year are held:

  • Fall (late-September - Thanksgiving)
  • Winter ( late January or early February - April)
  • Summer (June-July)

. Children are divided into three age groups:

  • Family Lapsit (ages 10 to 34 months)
  • Our Own Story Time (ages 3-5 or those who have not yet started Kindergarten)
  • Special Themed Story Times (ages 2-6) -scheduled seasonally, time permitting

There is not always a Lapsit Service during the Summer.

OUR OWN STORY TIME

Children ages 3 - 5 (*or those who have not yet started Kindergarten) are invited. This 30-minute program features slightly longer stories and activities for children who are ready to attend story time on their own. Parents and caregivers may enjoy other areas of the library during story time and meet their child(ren) at the end of story time. Some children are not ready to stay for the entire story time. Pease make sure that your child knows where he/she can find you.
