This is a sensory storytime designed especially for children on the Autism Spectrum or those who may have Sensory Processing delays. We can accomodate children ages 3 through age 11 who are at a developmental age of 3-6 years old. Children need to be accompanied by a parent or therapist.
This 25-40 minute story hour will consist of a greeting song, stories, music and dancing. There may a brief craft activity occasionally. The same person will do the storyhour each month.
We have a tent, sensory toys, a beanbag chair, and colorful cushions to help make the environment feel safer for your child.
Registration is not required. However, we encourage you to register so you can pick up a booklet to help make your child feel more comfortable about our story room and library. We could also mail the booklet to you, if you register by phone. Space is limited to 6 children. We hope to meet you soon.
