DESCRIPTION:Create a 3-D beetle\, then come back on Thursday to see Bruce the Bug Guy. \nDrop on in to the library for a variety of science\, math\, art\, engineering\, and play activities. All activities are geared towards elementary-aged youth but the whole family is welcome. Younger children will need additional assistance and supervision. SUMMARY:SAMA: Yarn Art
DESCRIPTION:Society for the Appreciation of Manga and Anime is open to all 6-12th graders\, no matter your familiarity with anime and manga – you might find a new obsession! Snacks and coloring/drawing supplies will be available while we hang out and talk all things anime\, manga\, and other fandoms. This month’s bonus activity is yarn art – create anything you can think up with yarn plus additional supplies that will be on hand. Yarn enthusiast\, Ashley Boley\, has volunteered to show us basic knitting skills. You’re welcome to bring your own knitting/crochet supplies and projects\, too! Snacks will be provided.\n\nAdvanced registration is encouraged but not required in order to attend – walk-ins are welcome.\n\nDue to extenuating circumstances regarding performance rights\, July will be our final SAMA meeting. Save September 29 4:30-6pm for a brand-new fandom club (including anime and manga!) for middle and high schoolers.
